ESL Intermediate Computer Skills A

The first in a series of three intermediate ESL level computer skills courses. Intermediate English language and beginning computer skills development through digital projects and communication using non-cloud based office computer applications. Terminology and practices used in office computer and digital applications, including word processing software, the internet and email, as well as basic presentation and spreadsheet software.

ESL for Cooking

Development of high beginning ESL written and oral communication skills for employment as a professional cook in the restaurant industry. English terminology for cooking utensils, supplies, common tasks, and safety in restaurants.

ESL for Custodians

Development of high-beginning English language level oral communication skills for employment in the custodial industry, including job duties and responsibilities, tools, equipment, measurement, chemicals, and safety. Development of job search skills and introduction to worker's rights and living wage information. Test preparation for the civil servants' custodian exam for the City and County of ²ÝÝ®ÉçÇø.

ESL Beginning Computer Skills - Intro

Introduction to computers for beginning-level ESL students. Limited overview of English terminology used in common computer hardware, software and applications. Word processing software, basic keyboarding skills, internet search, email, and simple presentations. ESL reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills are developed through projects and interactive work.

ESL for Work - Beginning

Development of general workplace vocabulary and skills for a successful employee in the U.S. workplace, including health and safety practices, U.S. workplace cultural values and practices, and effective workplace communication at a high-beginning English language level.
